Mehr Hospital is considered the first private hospital in Iran. It was put into operation with the support of Dr. Mohammad Ali Sadr and a group of famous physicians in 1946 on Amirieh Street in Tehran. In 1962, the hospital was opened in another building in its current location, on Zartosht Street.

 Mehr Hospital is one of the oldest, largest, most equipped, and most well-known private hospitals in Iran and the Middle East. Today, the hospital is managed by Dr. Masoud Mardani and serves Iranian and foreign patients with more than 300 beds.
