Stage Five: Implantation of Embryos

The embryo created in the fourth stage of IVF is transferred into the uterus. Embryo transfer is generally performed 2 to 5 days after eggs are collected. The procedure is completely painless, requires no anesthesia, and may be associated with mild cramping.
